Change to Sponsored Research SVH Percentage

The purpose of this message is to inform you about a change to the Sick/Vacation/Holiday (SVH) percentage for employees in the non-instructional Sponsored Research Pool.

Effective for the September 30, 2010 monthly pay date and the October 8, 2010 biweekly pay date, the SVH percentage will increase to 27%. The SVH rate has been at 25% since July 1, 2008. This increase should result in a closer balance between the current credits in the SVH pool shortcode and the actual usage of sick/vacation/holiday by non-instructional sponsored research pool employees. This SVH rate will continue to be analyzed each year, and I will send a similar e-mail notification if a change to the rate is needed.

In prior years, this email notification was sent to all Financial and HRMS Unit Liaisons at the University. This year I am only sending it to our contacts in departments with non-instructional Sponsored Research Pool employees, and copying the corresponding Financial and HRMS Unit Liaisons.
