Resources for Finding Funding
Basic Definition
The principal investigator, project team, and/or research development staff identify funding sources to support research activity. Funding for a project may come from:
- government (federal agencies, state agencies)
- private (corporate or industry)
- foundations and non-profit organizations
- internal (U-M) support
Why It's Important
Knowing where and how to search for funding opportunities helps you foster research activity at U-M.
