Biosketch
Basic Definition
A biosketch is a streamlined version of your CV (curriculum vitae) requested by most funding agencies and institutions.
Why It's Important
The biosketch allows each senior/key personnel listed on a grant proposal to describe why they are well qualified for their role(s) on the project.
How to Comply
Carefully read the solicitation for instructions on what to include and the formatting to be used in the biosketch. NIH and NSF both use standard biosketch formats that are periodically updated. Foundation and industry sponsors may also have specific requirements when requesting your CV/Biosketch.
