NSF - Use SciENcv on or after October 23, 2023

For Current and Pending (Other) Support

The National Science Foundation (NSF) is mandating the use of SciENcv for the preparation of Current and Pending (Other) Support information, effective for new proposals submitted or due on or after October 23, 2023.

Faculty researchers should login to Research. gov, set up My Bibliography, Create your NSF Biosketch in SciENcv, and delegate access to research administrators.

Pro Tips:

  1. Use the handy Federated Login or Login.gov) and create a SciENcv account. Those with accounts in NIH eRA Commons, NSF, or ORCID can link those accounts to NCBI to populate their SciENcv profiles with the information stored.)
  2. You must set up My Bibliography before you set up SciENcv.
  3. After you complete that, add Current and Pending (Other) Support.
  4. Be sure to create delegate access to research administrators (e.g., My Bibliography is set as Private by default, but users can grant access to other persons (delegates) to view and manage their My Bibliography collection. The delegate will then be able to add or remove citations to the bibliography and perform other functions.)
  5. When the Researcher downloads a PDF of their SciENcv BioSketch as part of the download process, the certification that is acceptable is automatic, and the certification process for the signature.
  6. Please note that delegates can no longer download these files.
