Managed Affiliates

"Managed Affiliates" (listed below) are entities with whom U-M has an agreement in place to facilitate U-M conducting research activities at the Managed Affiliate's site. Such agreements may include terms governing U-M's access to and use of the Managed Affiliate's facilities, equipment, and services. It is important that project teams make ORSP aware when any part of an externally sponsored project will take place at a Managed Affiliate's site, as the agreement between U-M and the Managed Affiliate may include terms that affect both funded and unfunded agreements negotiated by ORSP.

A question regarding Managed Affiliates will be added to the Proposal Approval Form and Unfunded Agreement record in the eResearch Proposal Management (eRPM) system in July. This website will be updated with more information at that time.

List of Managed Affiliates

• St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital ("Chelsea")

  • The Master Research Facilitation Agreement housed on 25-UFA02066 applies to U-M projects taking place at Chelsea

  • Exhibit A to the Master Research Facilitation Agreement contains a form to request to conduct a clinical research study at Chelsea. For any research proposed to take place Chelsea, the project team must fill out and submit the request form to Chelsea for approval.

  • Once Chelsea signs the request form, the project team must request action and upload a copy of the signed request form to the eRPM record. ORSP will not begin negotiating an agreement with an external entity until the signed form has been uploaded to eRPM.
