Find a Contact

This page explains how to find the appropriate ORSP officer, departmental research administrator, Finance-Sponsored Programs coordinator, or other U-M contact for research administration questions based on the project stage or type of support needed.

Finding the right research administration contact depends on where a project is in the research lifecycle and what type of support is needed. Use the resources on this page to identify the appropriate ORSP officer, departmental research administrator, Finance-Sponsored Programs coordinator, or other U-M contact.

Find an ORSP officer

General ORSP contact tip: ORSP no longer assigns one representative to a project. Instead, officers from each functional team handle the various stages of a project.

eRPM / Ironclad Records Lookup
For questions related to an active project or a proposal already in process, the fastest way to find a contact is by checking the project record in the system:

  • For eRPM records: If the record has already been routed to ORSP, check the Project Representative field. The name listed is the ORSP officer currently assigned to that stage of the project.
  • For Ironclad records (contracts): Check the Workflow Owner field to identify the officer handling the agreement.

ORSP Staff Lookup (By Department)
ORSP is organized into four teams based on functional area to support sponsored projects: Pre-Award, Contracts, Award Management and Sponsored Projects Coordination. Use the ORSP staff lookup tool to find the specific ORSP officers assigned to support schools, colleges, institutes or departments for each functional area.

  • Resource: ORSP staff lookup
  • When to Use: To find the officers assigned to a department who handle the various stages of a project if an eRPM record has not been routed to ORSP yet.

For questions related to a proposal and the PAF has not been routed to ORSP, email [email protected].

Find research administrators

Find a Research Administrator

RA Slack Forum

Find Finance-Sponsored Programs coordinators

For questions about a project’s financial status, including post-award financial reporting, invoicing, expenditure compliance or final financial closeout, contact a Sponsored Programs coordinator.
