Julia Warner, Manager, Sponsored Project Coordination

Warner Julia headshot.pngWe are excited to announce the appointment of Julia Warner as the new Manager of Sponsored Project Coordination at the University of Michigan’s Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP). Julia brings a wealth of experience in research administration, regulatory compliance, and operations management to her new role. With a Master of Social Work in Management of Human Services from the University of Michigan, she blends analytical expertise with creativity to effectively lead and support research initiatives. Julia's career spans project management, process improvement, and team leadership across healthcare, academic, and community-based settings.

Before joining ORSP, Julia served as Operations Manager at the University of Michigan School of Nursing, overseeing faculty support operations. In previous roles, she managed regulatory compliance for multi-institutional clinical research studies at the Statistical Analysis of Biomedical and Educational Research Group and supervised interdisciplinary research teams at the Center for Healthcare Engineering and Patient Safety. Julia's work has been instrumental in advancing clinical research, fostering collaboration, and ensuring regulatory excellence.

A passionate advocate for research and community impact, Julia brings a collaborative and solution-focused approach to her leadership style. She is dedicated to supporting faculty and research teams, optimizing processes, and driving projects that advance knowledge and improve outcomes. Outside of work, she enjoys teaching others to garden and sew, reflecting her commitment to community and lifelong learning.
