Kellie Buss, Manager, Award Management

Kellie Buss has been selected as one of the two Managers of Award Management for ORSP, reporting to Daniela Marchelletta, Associate Director, Award Management. An experienced research administrator, she joined ORSP in 2016 and most recently served as Assistant Managing Project Representative for the Government Sponsors team. In that role, she led teams working with schools and colleges, specializing in NSF projects and serving as the lead for the MDHHS Master Agreement that coordinates 80+ projects across campus.

Kellie holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and is a Certified Research Administrator (CRA). Throughout her career in research administration, she has contributed to various committees and projects which have led to system enhancements and process improvements. She has been actively involved in professional development, serving as both a mentee and mentor in the RAMP↑ program. She has also presented at National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA)  events and with the U-M Navigate program on topics related to working with NSF and leadership in research administration.
