Lizzie Howard, Sponsored Project Officer Lead, Pre-Award

Lizzie Howard has been appointed as the new Sponsored Project Officer Lead, Pre-Award at the University of Michigan’s Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP). 

With extensive experience in both the Project Representative and Support Staff roles, Lizzie brings a unique combination of skills and knowledge to this leadership position. 

As a Project Representative for the past three years, she developed a deep understanding of the research project lifecycle, along with a solid grasp of University and Federal policies, procedures, and sponsor requirements. Lizzie has used this expertise to document and streamline business processes. She is a trusted colleague known for her skills in interpreting and processing awards. She also served on the eRPM Enhancements Committee, where she played a key role in analyzing system changes and their impact on staff and the broader ORSP community. This involvement provided her with invaluable insight into the inner workings of ORSP and its integral role within the larger research ecosystem at the University of Michigan.
