Ana Causo, Assistant Director, Clinical Trials

Ana Causo has been selected as Assistant Director, Clinical Trials, reporting to Emily Baxter, Director, Contracts. Ana has extensive experience in contracts and grants management, most recently serving as Senior Contracts and Grants Officer at the University of Miami's Office of Research Administration. Since June 2018, she has overseen high-stakes negotiations and the management of research agreements, primarily focusing on pharmaceutical-funded human subject projects for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC). There, she ensured agreements were compliant with institutional guidelines and legal regulations. She fostered collaboration among diverse stakeholders in the legal and medical fields and strived for the success of research initiatives while mentoring junior officers.  

She earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, is a seasoned attorney, and has been a Florida Bar member in good standing since 2016. Her expertise includes clinical trials, investigator-initiated trials, compassionate use studies, and collaborative studies.
