December Webinar: NIH Data Management & Sharing Plans: Updates and Recommendations

Sara SamuelDiane WilsonDescription: It's been almost two years since the NIH's new Data Management and Sharing Policy went into effect, requiring almost all NIH research grant applications to include a Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Plan. This session will provide a brief reminder of the policy and what should be included in DMS Plans and related budget items, followed by details of what we've learned from NIH webinars, the Federal Demonstration Partnership, and U-M researchers receiving requests for DMS Plan updates during the just-in-time process. We'll also go over the new Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) changes relating to data management plans which went into effect in October. The session will wrap up with time for questions.

Target Audience: Research administrators and others who assist PIs and project teams with data management and sharing plans.
