NSF Update on Implementation of Research.gov to Replace FastLane

The National Science Foundation (NSF) issued Important Notice (IN) 147, to update the research community on the next steps in the implementation plan for Research.gov as the eventual replacement for FastLane.  

Note the important following excerpts from the NSF announcement:

  • NSF is incrementally moving the preparation and submission of all proposals from FastLane to Research.gov, with a tentative target date for completion by 2022.
  • Specific NSF funding opportunities will require the use of Research.gov for the preparation and submission of proposals to NSF.
  • NSF funding opportunities will specify whether submission via Research.gov is available or required.
